Let’s dive into today’s creative journey together!

Hello friends and and happy Kindred Stamps September Release Week! I don’t want to give away too many hints for what this release is going to bring you, but I can’t help but wonder if it’s Halloween or Christmas themed… Regardless, I am so excited to share with you the pair of projects that I created using the new Spooky Couple stamp set! This 3″ x 4″ set features this scary cute couple on their spiral hill, along with 2 sentiments that work perfectly with the image!

Sure, let’s dive into the cool stuff about how I made these cards!

Kindred Stamps Products Used:

Grass Scene Craft Die
Spooky Tree Die
Clear Embossing Powder
Spookytown Shaker Pack

Distress Oxide Inks: Scattered Straw, Wild Honey, Shaded Lilac, Wilted Violet, & Villainous Potion

Prima Metallic Watercolor Accents
Colored Cardstock
Acetate
Iridescent Sequins

For my first Spooky Couple card, I wanted to create a card that doubled as both a scene card AND a Snow Globe card! I used some of the included die cuts in the Card Basics Die to create the snow globe in it’s entirety! Also, if you can’t tell, the snow globe also serves as a moon backdrop for the sky as well!

I combined a dazzling assortment of transparent shimmering sequins from my collection with delightful elements from the Spookytown Shaker Pack, resulting in a vibrant shaker mix inside the snow globe! I just think that this card turned out really fun and I especially love that snow globe element!

For my 2nd and final card using the Spooky Couple Stamp Set, I wanted to create a background that showed off the new Holiday Town Paper Pack! This might be one of my most favorite paper packs ever, and the prints coordinate SO perfectly with the characters in this set!

I took an A2-sized piece of gray cardstock, distressed the edges with Black Soot Distress Ink, and also splattered the panel with both Black Soot Distress Ink and Sparkle Silk. I then adhered 3 rectangles of patterned paper from the Holiday Town paper Pack (trimmed to 3.75″ x 1.5″)! I think these patterns are just so spooky awesome!

And here you have all the exciting steps I took to bring to life this adorably spooky duo of cards using the brand new Spooky Couple Stamp Set!
