Studio Katia- Bright Wreath

Before we jump into today’s project, I wanted to let you know that I sometimes use affiliate links to share my favorite products. Don’t worry, these links won’t cost you a dime – they’re just little crafty helpers behind the scenes that help support me if you use them to make a purchase! Let’s dive into today’s creative journey together!

Hello friends! I am so excited to be Guest Designing for Studio Katia this month! For my final creation, I used the new Bright Wreath Stamp Set, along with some other items from the November Release, to make a super colorful holiday card!

Below is a list of products that I used to create this card:

Studio Katia Products Used:
Bright Wreath Stamp Set
Bright Wreath Coordinating Dies
Playful Dots Stencil
Christmas Vibes Paper Set
Clear Drops Mix 1

Other Key Products Used:
Copic Markers
Distress Oxide Inks: Kitsch Flamingo, Dried Marigold, Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron, Salvaged Patina, Peacock Feathers, Shaded Lilac, & Wilted Violet
Iridescent Glitz Glitter Gel
Colored Cardstock
Blending Cardstock
Foam Tape
Liquid Adhesive

To create my card, I first stamped out the wreath image and (5) ornament images from the Bright Wreath Stamp Set. I colored them up with Copic Markers and used the coordinating dies to fussy cut them out, setting them aside for later.

Next, I took the rainbow striped patterned paper from the Christmas Vibes Paper Set and trimmed it to 4.25” x 5.5”. I also took a piece of light purple cardstock and trimmed it to 4” x 5.25”, and finally a piece of white blending cardstock that I trimmed to 3.875” x 5.125”.

For the light purple cardstock, I distressed the edges with Wilted Violet Distress Oxide Ink.

For the white blending cardstock panel, I blended it with Kitsch Flamingo, Dried Marigold, Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron, Salvaged Patina and Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide Inks to create an ombré. I spritzed the layer with water and then dried it to get some bleach marks.

On my Rainbow Panel, I placed the Playful Dots Stencil over top, adhering it to my panel with low-tack tape, and applied a thin and solid layer of Iridescent Glitz Glitter Gel over top. I removed the stencil, set my panel aside to dry entirely (it took over an hour), and washed my stencil immediately.

Using a piece of light blue cardstock, I heat embossed the sentiments “may your day be” and “Merry & Bright” with white powder, trimmed the paper down to a strip, and then distressed the edges with Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Ink.

I then began to assemble my card. I adhered my light purple panel to my striped Christmas Vibes panel, and intended for it to be lop-sided. I then adhered my dried glitz rainbow panel on top of the light purple panel, trying my best to adhere it straight on (rather than lop-sided). I used foam tape to adhere the sentiment and my ornament and wreath unit. I finished the card off by adhering some Clear Drops and then adhering the entire unit to an A2-sized card base.

My card was completed!

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today! I hope this card leaves you inspired to create some super colorful holiday cards using the Studio Katia November Release!
