Pink & Main: Sunny Flaming Smiles

Hello everyone! Today I am sharing an adorably colorful project that I created using the brand new Flocks of Love stamp set, part of the Pink & Main June Release! This set comes with 3 adorable flamingos that are just so dang fun to color up! For today’s card, I used the drink-holding and towel-holding flamingo to make a pool-side card with lots of rainbow inspiration!

Below is a list of products used to create today’s card:

Pink & Main Products Used:
Flocks of Love Stamp Set
Flocks of Love Coordinating Die Set
Hello Sunshine Word Dies
Large Sentiment Strip Dies
Bubbly Waves Stencil
The World to Me Glitter Enamel Dots
Year Round Dots & Stripes Paper Pack
Princess Pink Embossing Powder
Embossing Watermark Ink Pad
Magic Anti-Static Brush

Other Key Products Used:
Copic Markers
Blending Cardstock
Distress Oxide Inks: Kitsch Flamingo, Picked Raspberry, Dried Marigold, Carved Pumpkin, Squeezed Lemonade, Fossilized Amber, Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, Salvaged Patina, Peacock Feathers, Shaded Lilac, & Wilted Violet

I colored up my flamingos from Flocks of Love and cut them out using the coordinating dies, setting them aside for later.

Using an A2-sized piece of blending cardstock in landscape orientation, I ink-blended a pastel rainbow in Distress Oxide Inks. These are the colors I used, top to bottom: Kitsch Flamingo, Dried Marigold, Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron, Salvaged Patina & Shaded Lilac. I then placed the Bubbly Waves stencil over top, and blended a slightly darker ombré of colors from Distress Oxide Inks. Top to bottom, the colors I used are: Picked Raspberry, Carved Pumpkin, Fossilized Amber, Mowed Lawn, Peacock Feathers & Wilted Violet.

I die cut the shadow portion from the Hello Sunshine Word Dies from the orange striped pattern in the Year Round Dots & Stripes Paper Pack, and then used die cut the letters for “hello” from white cardstock. I adhered the letters into place on the striped die cut, and then used my scissors to fussy cut around the letters so that the shadow perfectly fit the “hello”.

I heat embossed the sentiment “Sunny smiles across the miles” in Princess Pink Embossing Powder, using the Embossing Watermark Ink Pad and Magic Anti-Static Brush, and then die cut the sentiment using a Large Sentiment Strip Die Cut.

Using a combination of foam tape and liquid adhesive, I adhered my flamingos and sentiment pieces on my card front. I adhered a few Mean the World to Me Glitter Enamel Dots to my card, and finished by adhering it to an A2-sized card base!

Thank you so very much for joining me today on the Pink & Main Blog! I hope these beach-going flamingos leave you inspired to pick up your Flocks of Love stamp set and create a fun summery project!

Happy Crafting!
