Kindred Stamps June Release- Yaaas Queens!

Y’all better werk, because it’s Kindred Stamps June Release Week! Today I am sharing a set of NINE projects that I created using one of the newest sets hitting the Kindred Stamps Website of Friday: Yaaas Queens! This 6″ x 8″ stamp set is jam packed with 9 drag queens and some sentiments that are going to make you wanna run to your nearest drag bar and tip a queen!

Let’s get to werk on showing these projects!

For my 1st Yaaas Queens project, I used the Queen with the Head Bow to make a box-card that makes her look like she’s jumping out of it! I used the “halleloo” sentiment, stamped onto a speech bubble die cut, and die cut a bunch of stars from the Card Basics Die Set!

For my next Yaaas Queens Project, I created a mini-slimline card using this devilish queen. I used the Flames Craft Dies to create a fiery edge on the bottom of the card, and used a warm color palette of Distress Oxide Inks to blend a flame-inspired ombré! Prism enamel dots were the perfect finishing touch to add a little bit of embellishment to my card!

I knew I wanted to create a scene card using the Yaaas Queens set, so I used the Star Hat Queen and created a TV Set theme using a combination of dies and the Distress Brick Stencil to make it look like she just made her big debut! I deconstructed the Filmstrip Craft Die to make it look like clothing racks to help really set the scene!

You know what I love about mini-slimline cards? You can get (2) of them out of a single page of 6″ x 6″ patterned paper! I used the Cotton Candy Queen & Pink Robe Queen to each have their own mini-slimline using one of the patterns from the Retro Diner Paper Pack. For the background, I thought stars were appropriate once again, and used all 3 different star die cuts from the Card Basics Die Set.

I used the Grayscale Queen to make a card with a color palette inspired entirely by grayscale as well. There are some fantastic prints from the Grunge Paper Pack that fit this theme, and I knew I wanted to use the Yaaas Craft Die to make a “Yaaas Queen” sentiment!

I decided to use the Latex Queen and make a simple card using the the Card Basics Die Set. I used the sentiment “Big is Beautiful” from the Yaaas Queens Stamp Set and heat embossed it onto a Sentiment Strip Die Cut. I propped up my shaker window using 1/8″ foam tape and it gave a nice amount of space for my Sparkle Blend bits to move around!

Yes, the stars made an appearance once again! I couldn’t resist all the stars! I used the Tongue-Poppin’ Queen to be the star of her own card! I blended up a background using the Honeycomb Stencil, and adhered a handful of silver metallic stars to the card as well!

For my final card, I used the Watermelon Queen and created a card that was reflective of the dress she was wearing! I used the Waves Craft Die to re-create the pink ruffle on the top of her dress, and I thought the Candy Cane Stencil would be a fun way to re-create the pattern on her dress! For a final touch, I heat embossed the sentiment in Clear Embossing Powder to give it a little pit of a pop!
