Kindred Stamps Underwater Buddies Limited Edition Box

Hey everyone! It’s that elusive time of the year, when Kindred Stamps puts out another Limited Edition box, available for purchase! I am so excited to share with you the new Underwater Buddies Box (this blog uses affiliate links)! This box is packed with so many amazing contents for you to get right to crafting, including: a 4″ x 8″ stamp set, stencil, Build-a-Pineapple-House Die Set, Clay Slices, Shaker Pack, Paper Pack, Embossing Powder and a special surprise! On top of this, after your purchase, you will receive a link to view a coloring tutorial on all of the stamp set’s characters taught by me!

So, join me as I show you the collection of projects that I created for this brand new box!

For my first Underwater Buddies project, I made an underwater porthole card of sorts to feature our favorite little pants wearing sea scrub! The jellyfish and ocean floor are parts of the Underwater Buddies Stencil. And if you notice glitter on those jellyfish, good eye! I used Rina K Designs Poppin’ Pink Glitter Glitz Gel by Therm O Web to make them really pop! The shaker pack included with the box are a really vibrant collection of yellow, lime green, and aqua sequins that are perfect to embellish your projects with!

For my next Underwater Buddies project, I used the Starfish Friend with some of the fantastic patterned papers that are included with the box! The sentiment comes directly from the Underwater Buddies Stamp Set, which I stamped onto a Sentiment Strip Die Cut (not included with the box)! I also love how the star dies from the Card Basics Die Set (not included with the box) really help add some fun flair to this card!

I must admit, this Tentacle Man was my absolute favorite image to color up… so I am SO excited to share with you how exactly I colored him up with my Coloring Tutorial! For this project, I used an aqua color palette and made a card that’s anything but “meh”. The floral background is made with the Underwater Buddies stencil, and the sentiment on the Sentiment Strip die cut shows off the brand new Ocean Water Embossing Powder, included in the Underwater Buddies Box!

While the Tentacle Man may be my favorite image to color with markers, this card was my favorite overall to color up and create. I love how the Build-a-Pineapple-House Die Set comes together!! Fun fact, the house itself took 5 different colored papers, 3 different ink colors, 2 Copic Markers and 1 gel pen to put together! I also think the little snail from the Underwater Buddies stamp set is just so dang cute! Also, to make those little wonky building-looking structures in the background, I used the Standing Stones craft die!

This next Underwater Buddies project features the Sea Squirrel in a fun and easy ocean scene card! That background is actually a piece of patterned paper included with the Underwater Buddies Box, and I heat embossed the fish from the Underwater Buddies stencil using the Ocean Water Embossing Powder! This card really gives you a great visual of how the embossing powder looks when set! I also showed some versatility with the Build-a-Pineapple-House die set, by using its leaves to make some seaweed for the ocean floor!

I love this Greedy Crustacean from the Underwater Buddies stamp set! He’s super fun to color up, and I just adore the colors he brings to the palette! Being inspired by his coloring, I created a red and blue card using the bubble print patterned paper included with the box, which is framed with the same underwater distressed paper used from my Sea Squirrel card. I also used the bubbles from the Underwater Buddies stencil and heat embossed them with more Ocean Water Embossing Powder for some extra shimmer. To finish this card off, do you see the little adorable Sea Scrubber clay slices?! They are the perfect addition to the box!

My final Underwater Buddies project features the One-Eyed Villain, who I placed on a mini square card! I used the bubble portion of the Underwater Buddies stencil to blend up an evil looking green background, and used the shaker pack to add some green and yellow embellishments to his card!

I hope these projects have kickstarted some underwater inspiration for you! The Underwater Buddies Limited Edition Box will be on sale on the Kindred Stamps website at 8 AM PST on Friday, August 20th, 2021! Please remember that these boxes are limited edition, and, once they sell out, they will not be restocked!

I am so excited for you to create some adorable projects using this new box, and for you to have the opportunity to color along with me!

Happy Crafting!
