Hello Everyone! Today I’m sharing a quick post for this super adorable card I created that makes me want to go splash around in some puddles!

I used the Rain or Shine Annie set by Kindred Stamps and colored her up with Copic Markers. I wanted her to have a Rainbow Umbrella, but also a yellow raincoat with matching rain boots!

I used a stenciled negative of this card to create my Rain or Shine Annie project!

For my background, I had what I call a “negative stenciled panel”, which means that after I blended ink over a stencil, instead of cleaning it, I spritzed the inky side of the stencil with a bit of water and placed a piece of white paper over the wet ink to pick up the negative print! This negative is from my meteorologist Naughty Pick-Up Line card (you can check details on that project here). The negative print is of the Digital Noise stencil. I then placed the Confetti stencil over the panel, and adhered a solid layer of Brilliant Blue Glitz Glitter Gel by Therm O Web. I set this panel aside to dry. Once dry, I used the stitched rectangle from the Card Basics Die set to cut out the shape, and trim those glitzy edges.

I then used the same stitched rectangle die to cut a bottom border of white blending cardstock, and then used the Grass Scene Craft Die to make a little grass border on the bottom. I distressed the grass with Mowed Lawn and Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide Inks, and adhered this to my rainy panel.

Taking an A2 sized piece of blue cardstock, I placed the Hearts stencil over top and blended over it with Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink, to create a patterned paper. I adhered the rainy and grassy panel on top of my hearts panel. I then used foam tape to adhere both my Rain or Shine Annie and a sentiment strip that I had stamped my sentiment on using Something Borrowed Ink by Catherine Pooler.

To finish my card off, I adhered some Sea Level Sparkletz, and was complete!

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope this project inspires some crafty inspiration on your next rainy day!

Happy Crafting!
