Hello everyone! Today I am sharing a “Well Wishes” card that I created using the Pink & Main April Stamp of the Month, Lady Luck! I just adore all the little ladybugs included in this stamp set, and I could all but resist creating a card featuring the cute little bug sitting in a flower pot!
Note: This post is being featured on the Pink & Main blog as well! Be sure to head on over and give them by love by clicking here!
I started this card as I normally do, by coloring up my image with Copic Markers and using the Lady Luck Coordinating Dies to cut it out. I also heat embossed the sentiment “Wishing you well” in white powder, and used the coordinating die to cut that out as well. I set both items aside for later.
For my background panel, I cut an A2-sized piece of Blending Cardstock and blended, from top to bottom, Saltwater Taffy, Abandoned Coral and Barn Door Distress Oxide Inks. I spritzed this panel with water and immediately dried it to get some bleach spots.
Next, I took the Bursting Stencil and placed it over top of the panel. I then applied a solid layer of Black Glitz Glitter Gel, removed my stencil and allowed my panel to dry entirely. I also washed off my stencil immediately to prevent any of the gel from drying to it.
Then, I used the Heart Spotlight Cover Die and die cut from white paper. I set the frame piece aside. I used the heart piece and blended over it entirely with Festive Berries Distress Oxide Ink and spritzed it with water. I then placed the heart inside my Daisies Embossing Folder and ran it through my die cutting machine.
Once my background was dry, I adhered my white Heart Spotlight Cover Die Cut to the background, and also adhered my heart piece into its cut out place as well.
Using foam tape, I adhered the ladybug and the sentiment, and my card was complete!
