Sending a Flocked Gingham Card with Butterfly Love!

Hello everyone! Justin here, and today I’m continuing our Gingham Week fun by showing you the flocky card I will be re-creating during tonight’s Facebook Live! I think Gingham is such a fun springtime print, and I thought a butterfly theme would work well!

My flocky gingham background was created by distressing the edges of my light purple cardstock with Distress Oxide Ink, placing the Lumberjack Plaid Stencil by Miss Ink Stamps over top (Lumberjack and Buffalo Plaids are fantastic options for Gingham substitutes when you’re in a pinch!), and applying a solid layer of Deco Foil Transfer Gel Duo. I then used the Purple Punch Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets to get my purple gingham print!

Send a Gingham and Flocked Butterfly Vibes Card!

For my center panel, I colored up and cut out some images from Lawn Fawn’s Butterfly Kisses Stamp Set. I ink-blended over one of the Rainbows Galore Toner Card Fronts with Distress Ink, and then used an Iridescent Deco Foil Transfer Sheet to get some iridescent rainbows for my sky.

I used the Rina K. Screamin’ Green Neon Flock Transfer Sheet to make my grassy scene for the bottom, which I also distressed with Distress Ink as well.

I used a Sweet Word Die to die cut a Pink Carnation Flock Transfer Sheet. I used my finger to dab some Iridescent Glitz Glitter Gel onto the bottom of the flock to get a little extra glitz onto my card. I finished my sentiment with a few heat embossed sentiment strips as well.

My finishing touches were to adhere to my die cuts and colored-up images with Ultra Bond Permanent Liquid Adhesive and iCraft 3D 1/16″ Foam Tape in White, along with a few buttons and embellishments!
