I don’t know about you guys, but I feel like the month of October has just entirely flown by! It was almost as if I blinked and it was time for the Kindred Stamps October Release, and it’s my turn today to feature one of their newest sets, Touchdown!
This 3″ x 4″ stamp set features an adorable football player with 4 sentiments, along with a football shaped stamp for added embellishment! I made 3 projects that made me just want to dash to the End Zone with excitement, so let’s get started!
Kindred Stamps Products Used:
Touchdown Stamp Set
Confetti Stencil
Sea Level Sparkletz
Football Clay Slices
Other Products Used:
Distress Ink & Distress Oxide Inks
Catherine Pooler Inks
For my first Touchdown project, I wanted to feature this little football player running across the field, and also use a bokeh effect as well (it reminded me of camera flashes in the crowd!).
I colored up my football player with Copic Markers, fussy cut him out and set him aside.
I took an A2-sized panel, blended the right side with It’s a Boy Catherine Pooler Ink, then blended Something Borrowed Ink closer to the edge. Taking the footballs shaped stamp from Touchdown, I stamped a football pattern using Suede Shoes Catherine Pooler Ink.
I then took an A2-sized panel, and trimmed about 1.5 inches off to make it 5.5″ x 2.75″. I masked off the panel to reveal the grass portion and blended up Twisted Citron and Mowed Grass Distress Oxide Ink. Then, I masked off the Grass portion, and, from the center out, blended up Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers and Faded Jeans Distress Oxide Ink on the top portion. To get the bokeh effect, I took the Confetti stencil, placed it over the top, blended Picket Fence Distress Ink over the stencil (it’s a white ink), removed the stencil, used the same brush to lightly blend out the confetti circles, repositioned the stencil and repeated 2 times. I adhered this portion onto my project so it kept the football strip revealed.
To finish up this card, I stamped the 2 sentiments “Touchdown” and “Do a victory dance”, adhered my Touchdown Football Player, some Sea Level Sparkletz & Football clay slices, and then adhered the final product onto an A2-sized card. I was finished!
Kindred Stamps Products Used:
Touchdown Stamp Set
Confetti Stencil
Other Products Used:
Cricut (for cutting the football shape)
Distress Ink
String
For this super simple Touchdown Gift Tag, I broke out my Cricut for the first time in a while and cut out a football shape in brown, and then laces and 2 end strips in white. I distressed the edges of the white pieces in Pumice Stone Distress Ink, and then placed the Confetti Stencil over the football and blended Ground Espresso Distress Ink over it. I adhered the 3 pieces together.
I colored up my Touchdown Football player and fussy cut him out. I used my MISTI to position my football and stamp the sentiment “Have a ball” directly onto one of the white end strips of the football. I had to slightly curve the sentiment to get it to fit how I wanted! I adhered my football player with foam tape, used a hole punch to, well, punch a hole, and then ran a blue and white string through it. My simple tag was completed!
Kindred Stamps Products Used:
Touchdown Stamp Set
Lace Stencil
Other Products Used:
Cardstock
Distress Oxide Ink
Embossing Powder
Sequins
Heart Shaped Die Cut
This Touchdown project may be my favorite of the 3, because it gives me so many Valentine’s Day Vibes! First, I colored up my football player and 12 footballs with my Copic Markers, fussy cut them all out and set them aside.
Next, I took a 5.375″ square piece of white blending cardstock, and blended it entirely with Candied Apple Distress Oxide Ink (in a way so the edges were darker than the center). I then took the Lace Stencil, placed it on top, and blended over the stencil in Barn Door Distress Oxide Ink. I took a 5.5″ square piece of black cardstock and adhered the laces panel directly to it.
Next, I die cut a heart out of red cardstock and carefully arranged my footballs to outline the shape of the heart, adhering them down one by one. I heat embossed the sentiment “I love you to the end zone and back” in white powder, and adhered the heart with foam tape to the upper left corner area of the card.
Finishing off my card, I adhered my football player with foam tape as well, and adhered some sequins that matched his jersey to the panel. I adhered this whole panel to a 5.5″ square card base, and my project was completed!
