Before we jump into today’s project, I wanted to let you know that I sometimes use affiliate links to share my favorite products. Don’t worry, these links won’t cost you a dime – they’re just little crafty helpers behind the scenes that help support me if you use them to make a purchase! Let’s dive into today’s creative journey together!

Get ready to turn up the volume, crank up the color, and bring a little superstar energy to your craft room! The Kindred Stamps October Release is almost here, and I’m excited to give you a sneak peek at the new 80’s Superstars Stamp Set.

The October Release goes live on Friday, October 30, at 8 AM PST, and these new characters are ready to take center stage! For my release projects, I leaned into bold colors, vibrant backgrounds, and a little rock-star attitude to create three cards that each bring their own flair.

A Colorful Superstar Lineup

For my first project, I created a slimline card featuring all the character images from the 80’s Superstars Stamp Set. I blended a bright, rainbow-inspired background with plenty of colorful energy, then added the sentiment with Snowfall Embossing Powder for a crisp, eye-catching finish. With the entire crew together, this card feels like the ultimate backstage pass to a seriously colorful performance!

Spotlight on the Lead Singer

For my second card, I put the spotlight on the set’s lead singer—literally! I masked off a panel of white cardstock and used ink blending to create a dramatic spotlight effect, letting the character take center stage. The contrast between the bright focal area and the surrounding color gives this design a fun concert-inspired look without needing a complicated layout.

Rock Star Colors and Custom Backgrounds

For my final card, I created a custom geometric background using 1/4-inch mint tape to divide the cardstock into sections. I blended each section with a different color inspired by the featured guitar player, creating a bold, graphic look that perfectly complements the character. I finished the design with Snowfall Embossing Powder to make the sentiment stand out against all that vibrant color.

Get Ready for the October Release!

The new 80’s Superstars Stamp Set is perfect for bringing bold color, big personality, and a little retro-inspired magic to your handmade cards. Whether you love vibrant ink blending, spotlight techniques, or creating your own custom backgrounds, I hope these three projects give you some inspiration to turn up the color in your craft room!

Be sure to mark your calendar: the Kindred Stamps October Release goes live Friday, October 30, at 8 AM PST. You won’t want to miss the full release!

Until next time, keep crafting and keep shining!
