I love finding ways to combine different cardmaking techniques to create a project with lots of texture and visual interest. For this card, I’m combining Hot Foil and BetterPress techniques with Altenew products to create a dimensional card featuring the Aerial Cable Car Layering Die Set.
The result is a soft, scenic design with subtle texture, metallic shine, and a simple sentiment that really stands out.
Hot Foil + BetterPress Details
For the background, I created a soft ink-blended sky using the Cloud Scene Stencil and Altenew Fresh Dye Inks. I then added texture using the Essential Textures: Canvas Impressions BetterPress Plate, giving the background an extra layer of detail without overpowering the scene.
The focal point is the layered Aerial Cable Car, which adds dimension and creates a fun little scene across the card. To finish things off, I used the Encouraging Sentiments Hot Foil Plates with Ivory Black Hot Foil to add a beautiful touch of shine to the “love you infinitely” sentiment.
A few Black Onyx Sparkle Gems finish the design and add just a little more sparkle.
