The Kindred Stamps September Release is bringing plenty of new inspiration to the craft room, and I’m kicking things off with a stamp set that is equal parts chaotic, hilarious, and completely adorable: Televised Apocalypse! This new stamp set is packed with characters and sentiments that are perfect for creating cards with a little bit of adventure, a little bit of attitude, and just the right amount of mayhem.
For my September Release projects, I wanted to play around with three very different card styles while keeping that wonderfully chaotic feeling throughout. I also had a lot of fun experimenting with my Copic marker combinations, especially when it came to getting the right colors and shading on these characters. If you’re curious about the exact marker combinations I used, I’ve included those toward the end of this post!
A Little Ink-Blended Chaos
For my first card, I kept things relatively simple and let the characters do most of the work. I created a softly ink-blended background and brought the three main characters together for a scene that feels like something could go completely sideways at any moment. I used Snowfall Embossing Powder for the sentiment, adding a little extra texture and contrast against the background. Sometimes a simple layout is all you need when the stamped images have this much personality!
One Tough Customer
For my second card, I decided to let one character take center stage. I used the Card Basics Die Set to build the card layers and incorporated the Power Paper Pack for a bold, graphic background that gives the whole design a slightly comic-book-inspired feel. The sentiment was heat embossed with Snowfall Embossing Powder, which gives the white lettering plenty of contrast against the dark cardstock. This one definitely has a little more attitude—and I think the character’s expression says it all!
An Unlikely Adventure
For the final card, I wanted to create a scene featuring one of the more unexpected duos from the stamp set. The Desert Royalty Paper Pack was perfect for creating a dramatic backdrop and helped pull together the warm reds, oranges, and yellows in the design. I kept the layout fairly clean so the characters remained the focus, while the bold background adds plenty of energy without overwhelming the scene. Of the three cards, this one might be my favorite combination of ridiculous and adorable!

Wrapping It Up
The new Televised Apocalypse Stamp Set is such a fun addition to the Kindred Stamps September Release, and I loved getting to experiment with different styles using the same set.
