Before we jump into today’s project, I wanted to let you know that I sometimes use affiliate links to share my favorite products. Don’t worry, these links won’t cost you a dime – they’re just little crafty helpers behind the scenes that help support me if you use them to make a purchase! Let’s dive into today’s creative journey together!
If you’re looking for a bright and cheerful handmade birthday card idea, today’s project is packed with colorful summer fun! I combined several products from the Scrapbook.com Exclusive Sugar Rush Collection to create this playful ice cream-themed birthday card featuring lots of dimension, vibrant colors, and sweet details.
The focal point was created with the Handful of Sweetness Die Set, paired with the coordinating Sugar Rush Stamps, Dies, Patterned Paper, and Rub-On Transfers. I used the Nested Wide Arches Die Set to frame the design and added simple ink blending with Catherine Pooler inks to bring even more color and depth to the card.
This project combines several easy techniques, including layered die cutting, patterned paper, ink blending, and dimensional assembly with foam adhesive. These simple elements work together to create a card that is full of personality and perfect for summer birthdays.
