Let’s dive into today’s creative journey together!

Hello everyone! With the end of December approaching in less than a week (my gosh, that also means the end of 2023 is approaching as well), it’s time for the Kindred Stamps December Release Week! For this release, I am sharing a sneak of the new Angel & Muse stamp set, which is a 3″ x 4″ set featuring a half-masked opera house menace and his muse!

I created 2 cards featuring this new set, and I’ve got some details to share with you down below!

For my first Angel & Muse project, I created a A7-sized scene card where the masked menace is standing atop of mausoleum in a graveyard! I used a combination of several Kindred Stamps Dies to create this scene, and I decided to create the mausoleum by heavily distressing a die cut of the closet die!

I really think that when you are creating scenes that have a bit of darkness and a grunge factor to them, distressing different areas of your project with ink really helps create different dimensions and effects for your scene! I did an ink-blended ombré sky to really set the mood, but also distressed each layer of the ground elements as well to add shading effects!

Angel & Muse Outline Dies
Swirly Bits Stencil

Mixed Metals Glitter Paper
Clear Glitter Enamel Dots

For my 2nd and final Angel & Muse card, I used the image of the muse to create a card where the spotlight is really being shown directly on her. Before I ink-blended up my background, I used some low-tack mint tape to mask off the areas of my card that I intended to be different colors. I had to re-position the tape a couple times, but, in the end, it really came together nicely!

I placed the Swirly Bits stencil over top as well to blend up a nice design. My initial thought was to use a glitter paste, but because of how I was needing to reposition the masked area’s tape, I defaulted to just inking over the stencil because I knew it would be more fool-proof!

And those are my 2 cards that I created using the new Angel & Muse stamp set!
