Let’s dive into today’s creative journey together!

Hello Friends! The last week of the month is upon us, so I am setting sail with a sneak peek of the Kindred Stamps April Release: Ocean Adventurers! This 4″x 6″ stamp set contains 3 characters and 5 sentiments that are going to make you want to cruise through Polynesia!

I have 3 cards to share with you, so let’s get going!

The Ocean Adventurers stamp set just begs to be used with tropical beach scene cards! For my first project, I wanted to use our Teenage Voyager on a beachy setting, with the ocean in behind her! Here, you will also see me using the Ocean’s Calling Paper Pack, and this paper pack is a MUST HAVE!

I also used some creative layering to help build my scene. I only used (3) strips of papers: one for the beach, one for the water, and then the clouds are actually blended onto my background!

For my 2nd Ocean Adventurers Card, I used the Polynesian Demigod character to make a scene card where it looks like he is stranded on his own island in the middle of the ocean! I used my Distress Oxide Inks to blend up a sunset color background, and also used the inks to blend up the ocean waves as well!

I have really been loving the use of clear embossing powders used in conjunction with Versafine Clair inks. The inks allow for a very crisp impression, and, because they are pigment inks, they are perfect to be used with embossing powders!

For my final Ocean Adventurers card, I used the Polynesian Grandma character to create an infinity shaker card! I had the perfect mix of sequins in my stash, and I used them in conjunction with one of the patterned papers included in the Ocean’s Calling Paper Pack!

Another fun element that I used in this project was the Dancing Waters Stencil on top of vellum! This was a fun way to add a bit of color to the translucent vellum

And that is my trio of projects using the new Ocean Adventurers stamp set!
