Honeycomb Birthday Wishes

Hello everyone! Today, I’m buzzing by to share this colorful birthday card I created using products from the Pink & Main July Release! The new Floral Wings stamp set has some adorable critters that have flowers for wings!

Before we jump into today’s project, I wanted to let you know that I sometimes use affiliate links to share my favorite products. Don’t worry, these links won’t cost you a dime – they’re just little crafty helpers behind the scenes that help support me if you use them to make a purchase! Let’s dive into today’s creative journey together!

Below is a list of products used to create this card:
Floral Wings Stamp Set
Floral Wings Coordinating Dies
Nested Hexagon Dies
Many Hearts Embossing Folder
Licorice Embossing Powder
Embossing Watermark Ink Pad
Magic Anti-Static Brush
Pandamonium Enamel Dots
Salon Cardstock

Other Key Products Used:
Copic Markers
Distress Oxide Inks: Picked Raspberry, Squeezed Lemonade, Wild Honey & Carved Pumpkin

I colored the bee image from the Floral Wings stamp set and used the Coordinating Dies to cut it out, setting it aside for later.

I then stamped and heat embossed the sentiment “I hope you have the best birthday ever” in Licorice Powder. I fussy cut the sentiment out and distressed the edges with Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Ink.

For my background, I cut a 4.5″ x 5.75″ panel of yellow cardstock. I ink blended the panel, from the top down, with Squeezed Lemonade, Wild Honey & Carved Pumpkin Distress Oxide Inks. I misted the panel with water, and then processed it through my die cutting machine inside of the Many Hearts Embossing Folder. Once embossed, I trimmed the panel down to A2-sized.

Next, I die cut a few hexagons from yellow cardstock using the Hexagon Nesting Dies, which I distressed with the same Oxide Colors from my background.

Using liquid adhesive, I adhered the hexagons to my background. I then used foam tape to adhere my bee image and sentiment. I finished this panel by placing my Pandamonium Enamel Dots and adhering the entire unit to an A2-sized card base!

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today! I hope this card leaves you excited to color up these beautiful insects from the Floral Wings stamp set, and place them onto a card for a loved one!

Happy Crafting!
