Thanks a Bunch (of Bananas)

Hello everyone! Today I am sharing with you a card that I am truly bananas over! I had so much fun playing around with the monkeys from the Go Bananas set, and knew there were a couple stencils I could mash together to make them even more fun!

Note, this post is also featured on the Miss Ink Stamps blog today! Be sure to head on over there and give them some love as well by clicking here!

First, I colored up (2) of the Monkeys and 2 of the vines from the Go Bananas stamp set with Copic Markers. I fussy cut them out and set them aside.

Note: to avoid having white gaps between my vines, I colored the center gaps to match my background color as close as I could.

Next, I took an A2 sized piece of blending cardstock and placed the Ins & Outs Hollywood Stencil (with the large center opening) and blended a Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn & Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide Ink ombré. I then placed the new Cheetah Spots stencil on top, and blended a solid layer of Pine Needles Distress Oxide Ink.

Removing the stencil, I covered up my blended section with the Ins & Outs Hollywood Stencil Mask. I then placed the Bananas Stencil over top and blended over the stencil with Mustard Seed Distress Oxide Ink. Using a smaller brush, I blended Ground Espresso Distress Oxide Ink over the stem portion of each banana.

For my frame, I removed my mask and aligned the Ins and Outs Hollywood Frame Stencil and applied a solid layer of Grass Green Glitz Glitter Gel.

Once dry, I trimmed down and arranged my monkeys and vines so the vines didn’t stretch past the green portion of my blending. I adhered them all with foam tape. To finish this card off, I heat embossed the sentiment  “love you bunches” onto a sentiment strip, adhered it to my card with foam tape, and then also adhered a few brown sequins for embellishment!

I just love how all these elements came together! This latest release has such a wild and fun theme, I can’t help but smile while creating with it!Below is a condensed list of products used to create this card!Note: I do use some affiliate links below for the products I love at no additional cost to you!
