This 4″ x 6″ set really cracks me up, as it has little gingerbread people partaking in the drinking and smoking parts of holiday festivities!

I have the copic colors used at the end of this post to help you in coloring up your gingerbread folk as well!

Alright, time to gingerbread house party!

White Gel Pen

For my first Gingerbread House Party project, I used the image of the Gingerbread Lady in a martini glass and colored her up with Copic markers. I wanted to use a background that was super vibrant and festive, so I figured why not go for a candy cane background! I used one of the Candy Stripes Toner Card Fronts by Therm O Web, along with some Radiant Red Fancy Foil by Gina K Designs and this background really popped! I heat embossed my sentiment using Snowfall Embossing Powder and fussy cut it out with my scissors! I used a scalloped frame die cut that I created by combining 2 dies in my stash, and also added some iridescent bubble embellishments!

Pro-Tip: Gel Pen accents really can be so fun to add, and can also add that extra detail to your images to make them pop. For my martini glass, I used gel pen accents to make the surface look like glass!

For my 2nd Gingerbread House Party project, I made an A2 sized card with the gingerbread kegger couple, which I colored up with Copic markers and fussy cut out. I used the Christmas Trees stencil to blend up my background. I would like to point out that that the Christmas Trees themselves are a solid blending of the new Distress Ink Color Villainous Potion, and I am in LOVE!!! It is so perfectly vibrant and definitely is going to be sitting in a nice spot on my Distress Oxide Ranking Post!

I also used the Star Slimline Stencil to make a little circle to place behind the gingerbread couple, which I cut from one of the dies included in the Card Basics Die Set! I used some light blue and white enamel dots, along with some splattering of Sparkle Silk to give this card some extra glitz!

Pro-Tip: Holiday cards do not need to be traditional holiday colors… come up with your own holiday palette! Purples and blues make for fantastic winter color choices! Introduce a red or a pink into the mix as well and it will be amazing!

For my final Gingerbread House Party project, I used a technique for coloring that I also used last year when I created with the Merry XXX-mas Naughty Set, where I heat embossed my gingerbread people directly onto kraft cardstock using Snowfall Embossing Powder, and colored them up with my Copic Markers!

I made a background by blending a Twisted Citron to Mowed Lawn ombré of Distress Oxide Ink, and then blended up the Pot Leaves stencil directly on top with Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide Ink. I die cut a zig-zag circle from my stash, blended it up with Festive Berries Distress Oxide Ink, and also used Silver Glitz Glitter gel over the Mardi Gras Beads stencil for some extra shimmer on this background panel!

The sentiment makes me laugh so much, and It fits perfectly with these 2 gingerbread stoners and the Pot Leaves stencil!

Pro-Tip: If you’re going to try this method of coloring, you’re almost for certain going to need a good white gel pen in your stash to clean up the portions where your Copic Marker accidentally colors on the embossing powder. You’ll thank me for this tip later!
