TRHD July 2020 Release: Kringle

Hello Everyone, and welcome to Day 1 of The Rabbit Hole Designs’ Release Week Inspiration Hop! I hope you are all feeling super festive and ready to celebrate Christmas in July, because this release is just full of holiday fun!

Today we are featuring the new 4″ x 4″ set Kringle, which contains an adorable stitched Santa (seriously, I feel like he would make the perfect stuffed animal), some stitched trees, a banner, and various sentiments that can fit inside and outside of the banner as well!

I knew I wanted to use the sentiment “Ho Ho Ho” from Kringle, so I stamped the banner, hand drew a stick to hold the banner, and also stamped out the sentiment “Ho” 3 times! I fussy cut this out and adhered it to green cardstock. I then fussy cut the image out again so it had a nice green border.

For my Kringle project, I wanted to do something a little different, and use Kraft Cardstock for coloring! So I stamped my Kringle Santa and a couple trees onto Kraft Cardstock with Copic-friendly Ink, colored them up with Copic Markers and fussy cut them out.

Next, I die cut an A2-sized piece of green paper, and (2) “slightly less than A2”-sized pieces of patterned paper: one that was a kraft colored paper with white snowflakes, and the other being a red, green and gold plaid print. I took the plain piece, and also die cut a stitched hillside out of it.

I took my snowflake patterned paper and distressed the edges using a brown Oxide ink.

I could now begin piecing my card together. I took my A2-sized green panel and adhered my distressed snow panel directly on top so it had a nice green frame. I then took my plaid hill side, and adhered that at the bottom of the snow print piece. Next, I took the trees and adhered them down directly to the plaid piece. To give my project a bit of dimension, I used foam tape to adhere my Santa, placed to look like he was holding the banner, onto my project as well.

Using some sequins from one of those amazing The Rabbit Hole Designs Shaker packs, I adhered a couple to my project for some extra embellishment, and adhered my entire panel to an A2-sized card base!

And that’s how I made this card!
