KS Naughty May 2020 Set- Horny

Hello Everyone! It’s Kindred Stamps Monthly Set Release Day, and I am so excited to be sharing a couple projects I made using the newest edition to the Naughty series: Horny!

This set includes this adorable rhino with a handful of sentiments that range from G to Adult Content. So, before I share my projects, please be advised that there is adult language below. Proceed at your own risk,

For my first Horny project, I colored up my rhino with some Warm Gray Copic Markers. I fussy cut my rhino out and set them aside.

I took an A2-sized piece of white cardstock and decided I wanted to keep most of the panel white. On a scrap piece of cardstock, I took a circle die cut from my stash and made my own stencil so that I could blend a circle design in the middle of the panel. I took the (retired) Part of a Pride stencil (from the Limited Edition Box) and blended up some savannah grass with Scattered Straw Distress Oxide Ink, and some clouds with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink. I removed my makeshift stencil, and then used the circle negative to cover my blended circle area. I then blended the edges of the circle with Twisted Citron Distress Oxide Ink.

I figured out where I would place my rhino, and before I adhered him down, I stamped the sentiment “You Make Me Horny” with Walnut Stain Distress Oxide Ink using my MISTI. I adhered my rhino with foam tape.

For some embellishment, I took the Part of a Pride washi tape and ran a border along the bottom edge. I also paired it with a cork patterned washi tape and made 2 banners at the top of my card that overlapped. Finally, I took some bubble and star embellishments from the Sunset Shimmerz pack, adhered them, and adhered my finished panel to an A2-sized card base!

For my 2nd Horny project, I used the mildest sentiment from the bunch “You Make Me Feel Like a Unicorn”. I wanted this card to be super fun and colorful, so I colored up my Rhino using Blue Violet Copic Markers. I fussy cut the rhino out and set them aside. I also stamped the sentiment onto pink cardstock using Catherine Pooler Grape Crush Ink, cut it into a banner and framed it with purple cardstock. I set my sentiment strip aside as well.

For my main panel, I took a 4.125 x 5.375 piece of white cardstock and placed the Chevron stencil over it. Using Distress Ink (NOT Distress Oxide Ink) and Foam Blending Tools, I blended the following colors (top to bottom): Candied Apple, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed, Twisted Citron & Mermaid Lagoon. I splattered this with some sparkle glitter liquid and let it dry.

Once the panel had dried, I mounted it to an A2-sized piece of purple cardstock.

I could now begin putting my card together. Using foam tape, I adhered my rhino and sentiment strip. I then used sequins from a past Kindred Stamps Shaker Pack and adhered them. I took my card panel, adhered it to an A2-sized card base, and my card was done!

The Kindred Stamps Monthly sets drop Friday, May 8th at 8 AM PST (11 AM EST/10 AM CST/9 AM MST). So be sure to head on over to the Kindred Stamps website to check out all the fun new sets! Remember, once the initial run of the monthly sets run out, they’re gone for good (unless it’s voted out of the vault in the future, but coming from someone who waited the LONGEST time for the You’re a Doll set, it’s best to grab it while it’s available)!

Happy Crafting!

Justin
