Today I am so excited to share a project I made as an entry for the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge Blog, for the theme “Spectacular Skies”. Now, pretty skies are something I am ALWAYS excited to make, so I couldn’t wait to create a project for this challenge.
For this project, I used the following Lawn Fawn products:
- Swan Soireé Stamp Set
- Super Star Stamp Set
- Grassy Border Die
- Kiddie Pool Ink
- Outside In Stitched Circle Stackables
- Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables
- Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables
I colored up each of the large swans, and one of the baby swans that is looking upwards. I also colored a few scene setting pieces with my Copic Markers as well. I took some stars from the Super Star set and colored them up as well.
For my sky, I blended the following Distress Oxide Inks (top to bottom): Seedless Preserves, Picked Raspberry, Abandoned Coral, Carved Pumpkin & Mustard Seed. I spritzed my sky with water, some Sparkle Silk, and then with white acrylic paint.
I also had about an inch wide strip I left white on the bottom of this panel, which I carefully ink-blended using Kiddie Pool ink.
I stamped the pond from the Swan Soireé set in Kiddie Pool ink, fussy cut it out, and layered it onto the Kiddie Pool blended ink portion. Before adhering my pool, I adhered my grassy border (which was die cut in green paper). After adhering the grassy border, I layered my pool along with a few scene pieces, adhering them to my card.
I placed my 3 swans where I wanted them, and adhered them down as well.
For my sentiment, I die cut a stitched circle and distressed the edges with Antique Linen Distress Oxide Ink so it looked like a moon. I stamped the sentiment “Welcome little one” in Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Ink, and adhered it with foam tape.
To finish this card, I adhered my stars from Super Star, added some clear crystal Nuvo drops, and framed my panel with a reddish-purple colored cardstock before adhering it to my A2-sized card base.
And that’s my project! Thank you so much for reading, and happy crafting!
