Merry Christmas Everyone! I cannot believe that it’s the LAST Crafty Christmas Club Blog Hop of the year, and it’s just so appropriate that it ends today! I’ve created one last holiday project for the year that I think really captures the meaning of the holidays for all of us! So come check out how I put this card together!
This slimline project uses the character stamps, sentiment stamp, and dog house die from The Great Box by Kindred Stamps. All characters were Copic-colored and fussy cut out, and the dog house was distressed with Candied Apple and Barn Door Distress Ink. I also used black cardstock, blending cardstock, and Distress Ink to create my light strand (also included in The Great Box’s Dog House Die). Distress Inks are: Salty Ocean, Twisted Citron, Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkin and Candied Apple.
For the background, I blended a sky ombre of Peacock Feathers, Blueprint Sketch, and Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide Ink, while then distressing the corners with Black Soot Distress Ink. I splattered the sky with white acrylic paint and Sparkle Silk.
For my snowy ground, I die cut white blending cardstock with the Lawn Fawn Slimline Stitched Hillside Borders, and distressed the top edge of the snow in Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink. I adhered the snowy hill die piece and the dog house to my project, and then stamped the most perfect sentiment in the center of the card in Catherine Pooler Juniper Mist Ink.
I then adhered all of the characters around the sentiment, and I really had to embrace the fact that most would need to overlap if I wanted to fit them all on the card! I finished my card with some snowflake and sequin embellishments from the Chillin Sassy Pack by Sassy and Crafty, and adhered my panel to a slimline card base.
And that’s how I made my final Crafty Christmas Club card for the year!
