Before we jump into today’s project, I wanted to let you know that I sometimes use affiliate links to share my favorite products. Don’t worry, these links won’t cost you a dime – they’re just little crafty helpers behind the scenes that help support me if you use them to make a purchase! Let’s dive into today’s creative journey together!
Get ready to hit the road—the Kindred Stamps March Release is almost here, and it’s bringing all the cozy, outdoorsy vibes with it! 🌲🚐
This release features the brand new Happy Campers Stamp Set (4×6) along with the coordinating Camper Die Set, making it easier than ever to create cards full of adventure, relaxation, and a little fresh-air fun. Whether you love camping, road trips, or just the idea of escaping into nature, this set is packed with personality and versatility.
Today I’m sharing three projects that highlight just how fun these products are to work with!
Project One: Cozy Camp Scene with Die Cut Camper
For my first card, I created a full outdoor scene featuring a red camper assembled from the Camper Die Set. This design really leans into that “parked under the stars” feeling.
To build the background, I used the Tree Scene Border Die to create layered trees and added depth with Simon Hurley Stellar Inks for ink blending. The sky was finished with splatter for a subtle night-sky effect, while the sentiment was heat embossed using Snowfall Embossing Powder for a crisp, slightly textured finish.
The characters from the Happy Campers set were colored with Copic Markers and placed right in front of the camper to bring the whole scene to life. This card is all about layering—die cutting + ink blending + character placement—to tell a complete story.
Project Two: Custom Layout with Stamped Camper
Next up is a card that features the stamped camper image from the Happy Campers Stamp Set.
For this design, I created a custom background by masking off sections of my card panel using ½” tape. This allowed me to ink blend clean, defined areas with Simon Hurley Stellar Inks, giving the card a modern, graphic layout.
All of the images—including the camper and characters—were colored with Copic Markers, keeping the look cohesive and vibrant. The structured layout paired with the playful images creates a really fun balance between clean design and detailed coloring.
If you love a polished look but still want to incorporate character stamping, this technique is a great one to try!
Project Three: Bright & Playful Die Cut Camper Card
For my final card, I switched gears and went full-on bright and cheerful with an orange and green camper design.
This card features a die cut camper from the Camper Die Set, paired with a sentiment from the Happy Campers Stamp Set. I used the Showtime Paper Pack to build out the background, layering patterns for a bold and energetic look.
Aside from the sentiment strip, there’s no ink blending or coloring on this card—just good old-fashioned die cutting and paper layering. The large stitched rectangle from the Card Basics Die Set helps frame everything perfectly and pulls the design together.
This project is a great reminder that you don’t always need inks or markers to create something eye-catching—sometimes patterned paper and die cuts do all the work!
Final Thoughts
The Happy Campers Stamp Set and Camper Die Set are such a fun addition to the Kindred Stamps lineup. Whether you’re building detailed scenes, experimenting with clean layouts, or keeping things simple with die cuts and patterned paper, these products offer tons of creative flexibility.
If you love camping-themed cards, outdoor-inspired designs, and adventure-ready sentiments, this release is definitely one to check out.
