Let’s dive into today’s creative journey together!
Spring crafting is officially in full swing, and I’m so excited to share the projects I created for the Scrapbook.com Season of Inspiration Video Series! In this episode, I’m walking you through how to make an adorable pair of coordinating Easter cards featuring bright ink blending, sweet bunny shapes, and one of my favorite crafting tricks—stretching your supplies to create multiple cards from one idea.
If you love cheerful color, simple die cutting, and projects that maximize your materials, this one is for you.
A Sweet Pair of Coordinating Easter Cards
For this project, I designed a duo of Peep-inspired Easter cards that work perfectly together while still having their own personality. One card features a classic bunny silhouette with a fluffy tail, and the second focuses on a sweet bunny face paired with a playful sentiment.
Creating cards in pairs is one of my favorite ways to craft. Not only does it help you get more from your supplies, but it also takes the pressure off designing from scratch for every card.
In the video, I share tips for:
- Ink blending bright, spring-inspired backgrounds
- Choosing coordinating color palettes
- Turning leftover scraps from your first card into a second finished design
This approach makes crafting more efficient and a lot more fun.
Some of the key products that I use in this video include:
Nested Peep Shape Dies
Nested Stitched Cloud Dies
Hippity Hoppity Shape Dies
Hippity Hoppity Stamp Set
Fresh Duo Smooth Paper Pad 6×8
Mixed Media White Paper Pad A2

Ink Blending + Color Coordination Tips
Spring cards are the perfect excuse to pull out bright, happy colors! For these cards, I used a mix of pinks, greens, yellows, and teals to create playful backgrounds with lots of personality.
Layering multiple ink colors together helps add depth and visual interest without making the cards complicated. I also used stenciling and splatter techniques to add texture and movement to the backgrounds—small details that really make the designs pop.
One of the biggest takeaways from this project is how easy it is to build a cohesive color palette. Once you choose a few main colors, repeat them across both cards to tie everything together.
Stretching Your Supplies
One of my favorite parts of this project is how the second card grows naturally from the first.
Instead of putting leftover die cuts or inked backgrounds aside, I used those scraps to jump-start the second design. This is such a helpful technique when you want to build your stash of cards without doubling your workload.
If you’ve ever finished a card and thought, “I should have made two,” this project is for you.

In the video, I walk you through the entire process step by step—from die cutting and ink blending to final assembly and finishing touches. You’ll see exactly how these cards come together and how easy it is to recreate them with your own supplies.
If you enjoy the project, be sure to check out the rest of the Season of Inspiration series for even more creative ideas and techniques.
Final Thoughts
These cheerful Peep cards are a reminder that crafting doesn’t have to be complicated to be fun and impactful. With a few dies, bright inks, and a little creativity, you can create multiple coordinating cards that are perfect for Easter and spring celebrations.
I hope this project inspires you to play with color, stretch your supplies, and create something sweet to share with someone special. 💛🐰
Happy Crafting!
