Zoomies Through the Snow with Waffle Flower

Before we jump into today’s project, I wanted to let you know that I sometimes use affiliate links to share my favorite products. Don’t worry, these links won’t cost you a dime – they’re just little crafty helpers behind the scenes that help support me if you use them to make a purchase! Let’s dive into today’s creative journey together!

Hello, friends! Today, I have a pawsome creation to share with you using some brand new products from Waffle Flower! This colorful winter card features the Cool Pup Die-n-Stencil set, and drops this adorable doggy into his very own scene!

Below is a list of products used to create this card:

Cool Pup Die-N-Stencil Set
Snow Angels Sentiments Combo
Snowy Hills Stencil
Catherine Pooler Inks
Frosting Embossing Powder
Stark White Cardstock

One of the things that I love the most about using Waffle Flower products is that everything feels very thought through. I adore how many of their products can be paired with an additional coordinating product to really amp up the design! The Cool Pup Die-N-Stencil set is no exception, and having the ability to blend up this puppy die cut really makes a world of difference!

If you haven’t worked with a Die-N-Stencil set yet by Waffle Flower, my main suggestion is to die cut the image first, place a low tack adhesive tape on the back of the paper negative, and then place the die cut back into the negative spot. This gives you a reference point for where all of your blending needs to happen, and it also gives you more real estate to work with when doing your blends!

I like to blend with Dye Inks, such as Catherine Pooler Inks, when working with detailed images like this. While not necessary, in these instances, it is nice to work with inks designed to be a part of color families that designate various shades of the same color! This makes your color selection process incredibly smoother!

My last bit of advice to share is to not be afraid to go a little unexpected with your color choices. I chose a purple sky for this card, because I didn’t want to overdo the blue factor! It also pulled in the colors from the puppy’s outfit as well, and makes everything coordinate!

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today for a little 4-legged winter inspiration! I hope this card gives you some really fun ideas on how to use dies with coordinating stencils for your next project!

Happy Crafting!
