Kindred Stamps July Release- Way Back

Before we jump into today’s project, I wanted to let you know that I sometimes use affiliate links to share my favorite products. Don’t worry, these links won’t cost you a dime – they’re just little crafty helpers behind the scenes that help support me if you use them to make a purchase! Let’s dive into today’s creative journey together!

It’s time to go back in time and celebrate one of the newest sets to join the Kindred Stamps line-up: Way Back! I have been waiting for this stamp set for a while, and I am so excited to see this group of dinos finally show up in a stamp set!

I created 4 projects to display how versatile this new release is, so let’s get into the details!

Kindred Stamps Products Used:
Way Back Stamp Set
Card Basics Die Set
Grass Border Die
Entrance Gate Dies
Desert Scene Layering Stencil

To create my first card using the Way Back set, I gathered the 5 core members to this group and wanted to make a valley-inspired scene for them! I combined dies from the Entrance Gate Die Set and the Grass Border Die, along with some creative ink blending with the Desert Scene Layering Stencil, to put everything together! Distress Oxide Inks came in handy when building up my background, as they make ink blending so smooth! However, when it came to blending up the die cuts, Distress Ink really worked well with the different colored cardstocks!

House in a Hillside Die Set
Desert Scene Layering Stencil

For my 2nd Way Back project, I took the little t-rex that is included in the set and made a more forest-inspired card for him to stomp around! The House in a Hillside Die Set really has some fantastic dies to help create forest-inspired scenes, and I once again pulled out the Desert Scene Layering Stencil to help create a distant valley inspired background!

Mardi Gras Royalty Paper Pack

For my 3rd Way Back project, I featured the swimming dino, the flying dino, and the spikey dino together on one card. I wanted to use sentiments that coordinated with each of them, so I decided to put (3) different sentiments on the card that all tie together! I think my favorite sentiment is “yup yup yup” because it is so perfect for that little swimming dino, and I can’t help but smile!

Retro Paper Pack

For my final Way Back card, I decided to pull in the Retro Paper Pack for some fun inspiration. This patterned paper pack may not directly relate to this stamp set in terms of colors, however, it is perfect for the era where these little dinos made their pop culture debut! I decided to use a simple card layout that puts the Card Basic Dies to work, and I have a fun and cute birthday card to now keep in my stash!

I also have my Copic Marker combinations for each of the (6) characters!
