Kindred Stamps December Release- Get Animated

Before we jump into today’s project, I wanted to let you know that I sometimes use affiliate links to share my favorite products. Don’t worry, these links won’t cost you a dime – they’re just little crafty helpers behind the scenes that help support me if you use them to make a purchase! Let’s dive into today’s creative journey together!

Hello, friends, and welcome to my last Kindred Stamps release post for 2024! For the December Release set, I got to play with the new Get Animated stamp set! This adorable 3″ x 4″ features one of my favorite middle school girls, and the animated version of herself that lives in her head! I created a pair of projects featuring the new Get Animated stamp set, so let’s doodle ourselves into the details!

Also! Be sure to stick around to the end to catch the Copic Marker combinations for each of the characters!

For my 1st Get Animated Project, I took a look through my Kindred Stamps patterned paper collection to find a pattern that really captured this stamp set. I came across this colorful confetti circle pattern included in the Adventures paper pad! It reminded me of the colorful poms in the middle schoolers hair! I grabbed some colored and glitter cardstock, along with some vellum, and used the Card Basics die set to cut out a fun layout.

Pro-Tip: Shape Dies are the first die sets that I recommend to anyone looking to begin their die cut collection. Nested shape dies allow you to really maximize your design options, and you can also combine different shapes to create fun new layouts. The Card Basics Die Set is a great start to that investment, as it allows you to have a couple core shapes to help jumpstart your crafting!

For my 2nd Get Animated project, I wanted to create a card layout that features both characters in their own separate section. I came up with an idea where my card was essentially cut in half diagonally, and then put each character on their respective half. I also combined the “hey now” and “sing happy birthday to me” sentiments to create an extended sentiment that I really thinks captures this stamp set!

Pro-Tip: A little sparkle really helps amp up your projects! I used Distress Spritz on my colored panels to make these projects truly shimmer!

As promised, here are the Copic Marker combinations for each character in Get Animated!
