Let’s dive into today’s creative journey together!
There’s something extra fun about creating cards with a little mystery, a little drama… and a whole lot of ink blending. 😏 Today I’m sharing three projects featuring the brand-new Unfaithful 3×4 stamp set from Kindred Stamps, releasing on February 27th, 2026 as part of the February Release—and let’s just say, these designs are suspiciously good.
This set may be compact, but it delivers big personality. With bold character images and perfectly cheeky sentiments like “Faithfully Yours,” “Killed It. No Notes,” and “You’re Aging Suspiciously Well,” it’s ideal for birthdays, encouragement cards, or just-because notes with a playful edge.
Let’s take a closer look at each card and the techniques I used to bring them to life.
Card One: Faithfully Yours
For this first card, I wanted to lean into atmosphere. I started by ink blending a moody teal night sky, gradually deepening the color toward the edges to create dimension. After that, I splattered white and metallic paint across the background for a starry, dramatic effect.
To ground the scene, I die cut the Forest Scene Craft Die and created a simple brick wall element using a stencil. These layers add depth without overwhelming the focal image. The character is popped up with foam adhesive, which helps separate him from the background and adds subtle dimension.
The finishing touch? A few clear embellishments scattered across the card to mimic dew drops or glimmers of light. The result feels cinematic and slightly mysterious—perfectly paired with the “Faithfully Yours” sentiment banner.
Card Two: Aging Suspiciously Well
For my second Unfaithful project, I shifted to bold, vibrant green. This background was created entirely with ink blending, starting with a bright green tone in the center and deepening to a rich forest shade around the edges. The halo effect pulls your eye straight to the focal images.
After blending, I added black paint splatter to create texture and energy. This technique keeps a single-color background from feeling flat and adds a little grit to the design.
The trio of cloaked characters takes center stage here. I arranged them in a tight grouping and popped them up slightly for depth. Beneath them, I layered die cut sentiment banners to showcase the playful birthday greeting.
This card is a great example of how powerful simple techniques can be. Ink blending plus splatter plus layered sentiments equals a design that feels detailed but comes together quickly.
Card Three: Killed It. No Notes.
For my final Unfaithful card, I wanted something bold and graphic. I die cut a large circle to frame the characters and created a glowing green backdrop using—you guessed it—more ink blending. The circular shape keeps the design clean and focused, while the darker gray outer panel creates contrast.
The characters are arranged slightly off-center, which gives the card movement and visual interest. I added a few subtle splatters and clear embellishments to tie it back to the other two designs and maintain a cohesive look across the trio.
The “Killed It. No Notes.” sentiment is stamped on a simple die cut banner, proving that you don’t always need elaborate layers to make a statement. Sometimes a strong focal point and crisp sentiment are all you need.
Techniques That Tie It All Together
Across all three cards, I relied heavily on:
- Ink Blending for depth, glow effects, and dramatic backgrounds
- Die Cutting for layering, framing, and clean sentiment strips
- Splatter Techniques to add texture and interest
- Foam Adhesive to create dimension and separation
The beauty of the Unfaitfhul 3×4 set is how easily it pairs with your existing stash. Whether you’re building full scenes or keeping things bold and graphic, the images and sentiments do a lot of the heavy lifting.
Mark Your Calendars
The Unfaithful stamp set releases on February 27th as part of the Kindred Stamps February Release. If you love character-driven sets with a little drama and humor, this one definitely deserves a spot on your wish list.
Kindred releases tend to go quickly, so I recommend setting a reminder if this set has your name written all over it.
Let me know in the comments—which card is your favorite? Are you team moody night sky, bold green birthday vibes, or clean and graphic spotlight moment?
Until next time… stay crafty. And maybe just a little suspicious. 😉
