Hello, friends! With the end of February here, it’s time for my sneak peek at one of the brand new sets sets from the Kindred Stamps February Release: Picnic Pals! This new 4″ x 6″ set contains (4) nostalgic cartoon characters, along with some really fun sentiments to use alongside of them!
I have created (4) projects, so let’s get into the details! I also have the Copic Marker combinations for each of the characters to share at the end!

For my 1st Picnic Pals card, I wanted to feature the Big Bear and Small Bear images together on a card, and I thought it would be fun to combine the sentiments “Hey Boo” and “Life’s a Picnic With You”! I wanted to give this card a small bit of a forest flair, so I die cut some of the trees from the House in a Hillside die set!

For my 2nd Picnic Pals card, I wanted to create a card with the Ranger image in a scene card. I decided to craft a nighttime scene by blending up a background, and then using die cuts to set the scene. Once again, I pulled in some die cut trees from the House in a Hill Die Set, and also used the Grass Scene Border Die as well!

Card Basics Die Set
For my 3rd Picnic Pals set, I used the Lady Bear image with the Soft & Sweet Paper Pack! Truthfully, this paper pack was sitting on my desk from a previous project, and I figured it would work PERFECTLY with some of the softer colors used for this character! I used some creative die cutting and layering to play with a bunch of soft colors.

For my final card, I wanted to feature the main character, the Big Bear, on his very own card. I used the Stitched Alpha die set to create my own sentiment. I love all of these colors working together, and I think that the center ink-blended oval is a fun element to highlight the character!
