Before we jump into today’s project, I wanted to let you know that I sometimes use affiliate links to share my favorite products. Don’t worry, these links won’t cost you a dime – they’re just little crafty helpers behind the scenes that help support me if you use them to make a purchase! Let’s dive into today’s creative journey together!
Hello, friends! Today, I figured we would get super extra crafty with the October Release! For today’s project, I am going to show you how I used the Freckle Friends Artist Annie in combination with the Dream Studios Fabulously Glossy A2 Card Fronts to create a super easy scene card! Let’s cut into the details!
First, here is a list of Picket Fence Studios products that I used to create this card:
Freckle Friends Artist Annie Stamp Set
Freckle Friends Artist Annie Coordinating Dies (Purchase the Bundle for Even More Savings)
Beyond Basics A2 Rectangle and Cover Plate Dies
Pinking Shear A2 Cover Plate Dies
Thunderstorm Gem Mixes
Dream Studios Fabulously Glossy A2 Card Fronts
Memo Pads Bright Fabulously Glossy A2 Card Fronts
I started off this project as I always do, and that is stamping out my image and coloring it with my Copic Markers. My color choices were mostly inspired by the print I selected to use from the Dream Studios Fabulously Glossy A2 Card Fronts. I always recommend that, if you might be stumped on what colors to use, look at other elements in your card, and play off of that!
The Freckle Friends Artist Annie images stamped BEAUTIFULLY, and I decided to also stamp the small flower image onto her canvas! There are also some very small sentiments in this stamp set that would also fit very nicely onto the canvas as well! I used the coordinating dies to cut the images out and set them aside for later.
Next, I stamped the sentiments “Hello Friend” and “It’s Your Special Day” in Twilight Versafine Clair Ink, heat embossed the sentiments with Clear Embossing Powder, and then blended over them using Old Paper Distress Oxide Ink. I used the coordinating die cuts to cut out these sentiments as well.
To create my background, it was really quite simple. I used the smallest die in the Beyond Basics A2 Rectangle and Cover Plate Dies and cut out the scene from the selected Dream Studios Fabulously Glossy A2 Card Fronts print. I also used the Zig Zag Plate Die in the Pinking Shear A2 Cover Plate Dies and cut the shape from white cardstock. I adhered my studio scene onto my zig zag die cut, and then adhered that unit to a piece of the green print included in the Memo Pads Bright Fabulously Glossy A2 Card Fronts.
Using foam tape, I adhered my Artist Annie images, along with the sentiments. I adhered the entire panel with liquid adhesive to an A2 Card Base and finished off the card by adhering some embellishments included in the Thunderstorm Gem Mix!
Thank you so much for stopping by today for some extra crafty inspiration! I hope this card gives you some fun and colorful ideas for your next Picket Fence Studios project!
