Hello friends! I cannot believe we are already at the November Release for Kindred Stamps! I am wacky with excitement today to share with you a set that I have been wanting for SO long: Wacky Troop! This 4″x 8″ Stamp Set features 5 Characters and so many fun sentiments that you can use too!
I am also showing off the new Retro Paper Pack as well, so you will get some sneak peeks at a handful of fun designs that will be included!
I have 4 projects ready to share, along with Copic Marker Combinations for each of the characters as well, so let’s get to it!

For my 1st Wacky Troop Project, I used the Kid Pop Star and made a stage scene for him by using the Stage Curtain Craft Dies and the Card Basics Die Set. The curtains are a pink cardstock that I distressed with Lumberjack Plaid Distress Ink, as it helped bring a little more red-quality to the curtain while still keeping it fairly pink.
My stage background “screens” are a series of squares that I cut from colored cardstock where I then stamped the image of the Kid Pop Star in Distress Inks, and then used the same Distress Ink color to ink blend the edges of the square!
Because my entire stage scene fit onto a die cut of the stitched rectangle from the Card Basics Die Set, I adhered the entire unit to an A2-sized panel of the Yellow with Words design from the Retro Paper Pack! This card is also finished off with a few Prism Enamel Dots for extra pop!

For my 2nd Wacky Troop Project, I wanted to use the Wacky Dad and Wacky Son images to make a fun road-trip/vacation inspired slimline card, and I thought it would be really fun to use the Filmstrip Slimline Craft Die to make the card look like a film strip of vacation photos!
I created little scenes for each portion of the film strip, and they are as follows:
Carnival Scene: Carnival Scene Craft Die cut from purple cardstock & distressed with Villainous Potion Distress Oxide Ink
Carnival Scene Sky: Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkin & Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Ink on white blending cardstock
Tree Scene: Tree Scene Craft Die cut from green cardstock & distressed with Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide Ink
Tree Scene Sky: Salvaged Patina & Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Ink on white blending cardstock
Beach Scene: Waves Craft Die from white blending cardstock blended with Salty Ocean & Prize Ribbon Distress Oxide Inks. Then, Kraft Cardstock distressed with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink.
Beach Scene Sky: Squeezed Lemonade and Wild Honey Distress Oxide Ink blended on white blending cardstock.
For the filmstrip die itself, I distressed the top and bottom edges with Black Soot Distress Oxide Inks, backed the little squares with a long strip of white cardstock to give those areas a white background, and then heat embossed my sentiment in Snowfall Embossing Powder. I finished this card off with some Prism Enamel Dots for Embellishment.

This card was actually pretty simple to put together. I used the Wacky Son and Girlfriend to make this cute love card. My background is the Pink & Black Polka Dot Pattern from the Retro Paper Pack, trimmed down to A2-size. I used a Shaker Window Pouch, adhered to all 4 sides to begin creating my shaker effect. Before sealing the 4th side, I inserted a lot of little Holographic Hearts Embellishments, and sealed the final edge.
Using the Card Basics Die Set, I die cut a handful of stars from Black Glitter Paper, and then adhered my characters and sentiment strip unit, which was heat embossed with Snowfall Embossing Powder!

For my final card, I used the Mega Pop Star on a card of his very own. I used some really fun prints from the Retro Paper Pack, including the Blue & Yellow Lightning Bolt Design and the Black Squiggles on Yellow Design to come up with this layout.
For the focal point behind my Mega Pop Star, I blended Mustard Seed Distress Oxide Ink over light yellow colored cardstock, placed the Lightning Stencil over it, and blended both Carved Pumpkin & Ripe Persimmon Distress Ink on a circle cut from the Card Basics Die Set. I framed it with the larger Stitched Circle Die from the Card Basics Set, cut from black cardstock.
I heat embossed my sentiment on a black strip using Snowfall Embossing Powder, and then finished the card using some Prism Enamel Dots!
And there you have it! All 4 of my Wacky Troop Projects!
