Hello friends! Justin here, and I am so excited because it is November Release Week for Pink & Main! I have a really fun and cheery Sneak Peek for you today that includes a look at 6 brand new products! Along with the new Happy New Year sentiment stamp set that is coming out, I am also showing you 5 of the 7 brand new Premium Dye Inks that will be released on Friday!
These dye inks are designed to match a handful of the cardstock colors that are currently available in the Pink and Main website! So, if you’ve been loving those new cardstock colors, these inks are going to be perfect for you! Additionally, if you are a Crafty Courtyard Kit subscriber, you already know that the Pink & Main Cardstock Colors are used when coming up with each month’s color palette, where you get a sampling of the cardstock colors used, along with embellishments designed to match! So these will work PERFECTLY with those kits as well!
Below is a list of products used to create the set of cards seen above:
Pink & Main Products Used:
Happy New Year Sentiment Stamp Set
Premium Dye Inks: Dress Shop, Construction, Lakeside, Barbershop & Night Sky
Cardstock Colors: Dress Shop, Construction, Lakeside, Barbershop & Night Sky
Ice Rink Cardstock
Notched Corners Dies
Wildflower Enamel Dots (Retired)
6″ x 6″ Adhesive Sheets
Other Products Used:
Foam Tape
Alright, let’s get into the details for how I put these cards together!
First, I took a half sheet of Dress Shop, Construction, Lakeside, Barbershop & Night Sky Cardstocks, and cut them into 1/4″ x 8 1/2″ strips. Next, I placed an adhesive sheet onto the back of a roughly 4.25″ x 5.5″ white scrap cardstock, placed the adhesive sheet on the back, and then trimmed it down to 4″ x 5.25″. I removed the backing of the adhesive sheet, and then applied my strips in rainbow color order diagonally.
Pro-Tip: When making your own pattern paper with adhesive sheets, place your strips so one of the ends hangs JUST BARELY over the edge, keeping the other end fairly long over the end. Then, about halfway through placing your strips, trim the excess off and use the excess scraps to finish placing your strips. It’s a great way to stretch your stash!
Once all the excess strips are trimmed, I adhered my panel to an A2-sized white cardstock card base, as this gave a nice white frame around each panel.
Then, I stamped my sentiment “Happy New Year” from the new Happy New Year Sentiment Stamp Set onto Ice Rink Cardstock in each of the 5 Ink Colors (Dress Shop, Construction, Lakeside, Barbershop and Night Sky). I then used the Notched Corners Dies to die cut each of the sentiment panels out, and ink-blended the corners of the die cut with the same ink color I used to stamp the sentiment.
Using foam tape, I adhered each of the notched corners sentiment pieces to my card in the center, and then used some Wildflower Enamel Dots to give a little bit of embellishment to each card!
And there you have it! A set of 5 cards that help show off 5 of the 7 brand new Premium Dye Inks, along with the Happy New Year Sentiment Stamp Set, which will all be available in the Pink & Main store this upcoming Friday, November 18th, 2022!
