Hello friends! Today, I am sharing a square card that I created using the new Poinsettia Stencil from the Pink & Main September Release! I love that this stencil has 3 different layers all in 1 card that makes it really easy to put a simple and classy card together!
Below is a list of products that I used to create my card:
Pink & Main Products Used:
Poinsettia Stencil
Nativity Stamp Set
Homespun Christmas Paper Pack
Frosting Embossing Powder
Magic Anti-Static Tool
Watermark Embossing Ink Pad
Pebble Cardstock
Coffee Shop Cardstock
Floral Pumpkin Glitter Enamel Dots
Other Key Products Used:
Blending Cardstock
Distress Oxide Inks: Abandoned Coral, Aged Mahogany, Wild Honey & Vintage Photo
Foam Tape
Metallic Watercolor Accents
String (From stash)
Making this card was really simple! The first thing that I did was cut a 5″ square panel of blending cardstock. I used the Poinsettia stencil to blend up my flower right in the center using Abandoned Coral, Aged Mahogany and Wild Honey Distress Oxide Inks. I used Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Inks to distress the edges and splattered the panel with gold metallic watercolor.
Did you know that I have written a special blog post that I rank all of the current Distress Oxide colors?
Check it out if you haven’t yet! I have had a lot of great response from people who have used this list to start their Distress Oxide Journey!
I matted this layer with about a 5.125″ square piece of Pebble Cardstock.
Next, I heat embossed the sentiment “May your hearts be filled with peace” from the new Nativity Stamp Set in Frosting Embossing Powder on to Coffee Shop Cardstock. I fussy cut the sentiment out.
I used some string from my stash that has a very burlap feel to it and wrapped it around my Poinsettia layer, tying a bow, and then using foam tape to adhere my sentiment.
I finished off my card adhering my Poinsettia Layer with foam tape to a 5.5″ square pattern from the Homespun Christmas Paper Pack, adhered the entire panel to a square card base, and placed a few Floral Pumpkin Glitter Enamel Dots!
Thank you so very much for stopping by my blog today! I hope this card inspires you to use the new Poinsettia stencil for some quick, yet gorgeous, holiday crafting!
Happy Crafting!
