Hello everyone! Today I am sharing a special blog post for the Support Ukraine Blog Hop. For today’s project, I have chosen to create a sunflower card as it is the National Flower for Ukraine, and I thought it would be extremely fitting.
I used a few Pink & Main products to help pull this card together. I colored up 5 sunflowers and 2 fence pieces from the Harvest Greetings Stamp Set, and used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out.
I took used the Stitched Arches Dies to cut out a background piece of blending cardstock. I blended the top half with Salty Ocean & Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Inks, and the bottom half with Twisted Citron & Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide Inks. I also stamped the sentiment “Thinking of you” from the Spring Snow Globe Scenes Stamp Set. I used some liquid adhesive and foam tape to adhere my fence and sunflower pieces to my project.
For my background, I took some light yellow cardstock and used Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide Ink to blend from the bottom up, to create an ombré. I used the Quatrefoil Embossing Folder to emboss the design onto the paper, and then splattered some blue metallic water color onto the panel.
I adhered my arch unit to my embossed background, finished off my card with some Clear Glitter Enamel Dots, and was completed.
