Hello and Happy Kindred Stamps December Release Week!! I am so excited today to get to share with you my trio of projects using the brand new 4″ x 4″ set Unsinkable! For my first Unsinkable project, I used this couple to make a romantic little scene with shades of pink and brown! I thought that distressed die cut panel. On this panel, I also used the Floral Slimline Stencil to add a foiled element to the scene as well!
Pro-Tip: Don’t be afraid to fussy cut a sentiment out! It can really add a fun detail to your project!
Kindred Stamps Products Used:
Unsinkable Stamp Set
Stained Glass Roses Stencil
Twigs Stencil
Card Basics Die Set
Seattle Sequin Mix
Other Products Used:
Copic Markers
Colored Cardstock
Distress Ink: Vintage Photo & Ground Espresso
Distress Mica Spray: Crooked Broomstick
Patterned Paper
For my 2nd Unsinkable project, I used the couple once more and wanted to create a passport and ticket inspired scene. The background is a patterned paper from my stash with distressed edges, and then some portions of the Twigs Stencil blended over this panel.
Behind the couple, I placed a die cut circle that was blended with the Stained Glass Roses Stencil, and it gave a nice little vintage feel behind the couple! I also used some die cut tickets from the Card Basics Die Set for a fun element as well!
Pro-Tip: Go through your patterned paper and see if there are any prints you have that would be good for distressing the edges! I recommend starting with lighter color backgrounds!
Kindred Stamps Products Used:
Unsinkable Stamp Set
Barn Craft Die
Filmstrip Craft Die
Waves Craft Die
Snowfall Embossing Powder
Embossing Ink Pad
Portland Sequin Mix
Other Products Used:
Colored Cardstock
Distress Ink: Salvaged Patina, Peacock Feathers, Salty Ocean, Prize Ribbon, Shaded Lilac, Villainous Pot ion, Chipped Sapphire & Black Soot
Prima Metallic Watercolor Accents
White Acrylic Paint
For my final Unsinkable project, I decided to deconstruct some dies to create a sinking ship scene! I used the Barn Die and the Filmstrip Craft Die to build my ship (the ships windows are the only Filmstrip portions used)! I also used the Barn Die to create a pseudo iceberg as well!
The Waves Craft Dies came in handy to make an ocean scene too! I used the Snowfall Embossing Powder to heat emboss the sentiments “I’ve got a sinking feeling that…” and “I missed your birthday” from the Unsinkable Stamp Set!
Pro-Tip: When creating skies, always start from light and move your way to dark by following the color wheel. For night skies, I typically always end with a navy or dark purple color, followed by black!
And there you have it, my projects using the brand new Unsinkable stamp set!
