Hello everyone! Today I am sharing this adorable card that I created using one of my favorite sets from the Sassy & Crafty June Release: Dinorawr! This set is packed with some adorable little ones who are just in love with all things dino! I colored up the cute little boy riding a brontosaurus with my Copic Markers and fussy cut him out.
For this project, I also paired it with the new Dino Tracks stencil, which coordinates so well with this set, and really any project you’re looking to give a prehistoric feel to! To make my Dino Tracks background, I took a piece of chipboard, cut it down to 4.25″ x 5.5″, and used Ground Espresso Distress Ink over the stencil, and then used the same color to distress the edges as well!
I wanted to keep my background simple, but colorful, so I used a Squiggle Mat die (a go-to in my craft arsenal), and used Ripe Persimmon, Fossilized Amber (really a staple for anything prehistoric, am I right?), and Crushed Olive Distress Inks to blend a jungle sunset ombre of sorts. Of course, I had to spritz some water over it to get a fun dappled effect. I also used some orange cardstock to offset frame the background panel. I used the same cardstock to die cut a sentiment strip, where I stamped the sentiment “Let your imagination run wild”. I distressed the edges with Vintage Photo Distress ink, adhered my image and sentiment strip with foam tape, and also adhered some Not So Heavy Metal Sequins for embellishment. My card was completed!
