Hello Everyone! It’s the 1st of the month, and that means it’s time for another i-Crafter Release! For my very first project of the month, I am showing off this cotton candy inspired project that I created using the new Flip Card Heart Blooms die set!
This set comes with all the pieces you need to create a fun heart flip card, including a die cut of the word “Love” in cursive, and a bunch of floral elements to help build your own little die cut garden of sorts!
For this project, I only used 3 pieces of paper: one that had pink and blue cotton candy on the front with a blue pattern on the back, a piece of light pink cardstock, and a piece of white blending cardstock.
Using the cotton candy printed paper, I die cut the heart flip portion of the card. I scored along the line, folded it, and set it aside. I then took the light pink piece of cardstock and die cut the card base. I adhered the scored strip of the cotton candy piece to the pink cardstock base. Then taking the pink i-Brush Blender Brush, I distressed the edges of the light pink cardstock in Pink Dye Ink to give it some dimension.
Using the white blending cardstock, I die cut the word “love” and then 3 little daisy pieces. Now, keep in mind, all of these pieces come with the Flip Card Heart Blooms set, and they are just wonderful little pieces to use on a bunch of different projects! Using the light blue and pink i-Brush blender brushes, I blended the top part of love with pink ink, and the bottom part blue, which gave the project a nice pink to white to blue ombré. I used the same ink to distress the flowers in alternating colors, which gave me 2 blue flowers with pink centers, and 1 pink flower with a blue center. I also adhered a coordinating gem color into each of the flower centers.
To finish this card, I adhered the love die cut in the center of the heart flap, and then the 3 flowers on the right side of the card. My project was done!
Now, you can head on over to the i-Crafter website to check out all of the new December release products and find the best fit for your stash (spoiler, it might be all 3!)
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today, and happy crafting!
