I am so excited to share with you my projects using the Kindred Stamps Sweet Cookies and Sweet House Stamp Set, part of their amazing October Release!
For my first project, I used several items part of the Kindred Stamps October release that all coordinated to make an awesome gingerbread and holiday inspired card!
I used the Sweet Cookies set for the little gingerbread fella and colored him with Copic markers (E25, E29 & E99).
I then used the sentiment “sweet holiday wishes” from the Sweet House set. What I love about this sentiment is that it uses hearts as dots above the “i”! It’s a super cute extra detail that makes this holiday card extra sweet. I then mounted the sentiment strip onto a slightly wider paper provided in the Kindred Stamps Holiday Sweets Paper Pack, also part of this release!
I then used the new stencil with the Gingerbread Glitter Gloss to make a really fun background. Now, don’t feel limited that the Gingerbread Glitter Gloss needs to be used only in your Holiday Crafting Concoctions! It’s a super pretty dark copper color, and would help create great accents for any Thanksgiving/Harvest themed project, along with any project where you can embellish a brown surface!
Finally, I used that same stencil, laid it onto paper bag cardstock, and brushed brown ink to create a patterned envelope liner!
For my second project, I thought to myself “Gingerbread people can exist in any holiday setting, right?” And I challenged myself to put that thought to the test. What I got is this fantastic Halloween Haunted Gingerbread House card!
Along with the large Gingerbread House included in the Sweet House set, I also used several of the candy embellishments to help create a sweet yet spooky house! I used the gumdrop stamp to create some fun little gumdrop pumpkins that are entirely inspired by those candy corn flavored pumpkin candies. I also used the gumdrop to make pumpkin candy buckets for my little trick-r-treaters!
I also used the jellybeans to create a spooky Halloween walkway up to the front door of the house! The candy cane and peppermint swirl stamps are also included in the Sweet House set and make the perfect embellishments to this set!
I used the sentiment “Baking Spirits Bright” for this card, but wanted to give it a spooky overlay. So I hand wrote an “F” and put it on top of the “B” in “Bright”!
Finally, I used the Sweet Cookies set to make 2 fun little trick-r-treating gingerbread friends with the accessory stamps included! I made my guy into a wand-wielding wizard and my girl into a polka dot-wearing mouse!
For my final project, I wanted to do something really simple that almost anyone could use! I was inspired by Holiday parties where people show up with a saran wrapped plate of Christmas Cookies! I thought “wouldn’t a cute gingerbread man gift tag be adorable when gifting your holiday sweets?”.
I took a paper bag colored gift tag from my stash and heat embossed both the gingerbread man and the sentiment from the Sweet Cookies. I also used the Holiday Sweets Paper Pack to make a border on the bottom of the gift tag. I finished the tag off with some red sparkle embellishments, along with a red and white string to finish the tag! This was a less than 30 minute project that can be entirely customized with all of the great sentiments included in both the Sweet Cookies and Sweet House sets!
