This is my first entry for a Lawn Fawnatics Challenge!
I love fall, and was really excited when I saw that their most recent challenge was themed “Awesome Autumn”. I’ve seen so many great cards depicting outside scenes containing fallen leaves with beautiful colors. I wanted to try something a little different, and work with the theme in a way that screams “FALL” to my sweater weather loving soul.
I used the “Caramel Apple” & “Pumpkin Spice” set and colored them with my Copic Markers. I made 2 apples, one as a caramel apple and one as a candy apple, because I think both are appropriate for fall! That cute little apple stamp brings me back to my Kindergarten days where my school used to do a Caramel Apple Drive and I came home with what felt like boxes of caramel apples that my family and parent’s friends had ordered!
I also used the “Happy Fall” sentiment die, along with some Mellow Yellow plaid paper, both from Lawn Fawn. I also used the same mustard yellow plaid paper for the envelope liner, but in a different orientation.
I know that Lawn Fawn creators typically go all out and make BEAUTIFUL scenes with their stamps, but I wanted to try to stay true to my cleaner/simpler aestethic for this challenge, and really loved the way this card came out!
If you wanna join in on the challenge, it runs until October 6th! Be sure to check out the Lawn Fawnatics website for complete rules and details! I’m super excited to see what you come up with!
Happy Crafting!
Justin
