Kindred Stamps Monthly Naughty Set- Naughty Candy

While we are all dealing with the hustle and the bustle of the holiday season, of course we have to start thinking towards our crafty projects for the next holiday: Valentine’s Day! And, oh boy, do I have a set that’s going to just make your friends and special someone LOL. I’m so excited to introduce the latest Kindred Stamps Naughty Set: Naughty Candy!

The Naughty Candy set is jam packed with a cute conversation heart, complete with thick lines that make it extremely difficult to even think about coloring outside the lines! There are also so many sentiments available, with buildable options as well so you can customize your candy to your naughtiest heart’s desire!

I made a collection of 7 total projects for this set, however, 6 of the cards are nearly identical, so let’s get to it!

Kindred Stamps Products Used:
Naughty Candy Stamp Set
Heart and Dots Stencil
Hearts Stencil
Glitter Gloss (Bubblegum, Diamond, Electric Purple, Electric Yellow, Electric Orange & Peridot)

Other Products Used:
Copic Markers
Catherine Pooler Inks (It’s a Girl, Twilight, Pixie Dust, Tiara, Orange Twist, & Mint to Be)
Gina K Designs Cardstock
Embossing Powder

For these super easy cards, I started by stamping the hearts on coloring paper in black Versafine Clair ink, and embossing them with clear powder. I colored up each heart with a 3-Copic color combination, stamped the sentiment in the same Versafine Clair ink, and fussy cut the hearts out.

For the base of the cards, I cut a piece of 4.125″ x 5.375″ piece of blending cardstock and distressed the edges with one of the Catherine Pooler Inks. I then placed the Heart and Dots stencil over the panel and applied a solid layer of the corresponding color of glitter gloss. I removed the stencil, and set the panel aside to dry.

Next, I cut a strip of about .75″ x 4.25″ of a light colored cardstock, corresponding to each of the heart colors. I placed the Hearts stencil over the strip, and ink blended the same Catherine Pooler Ink color for each of the strips so they all coordinated colorwise.

To put the card together, I matted each panel to a corresponding color of A2-sized cardstock (that is the same color of the cardstock for the strip), adhered the heart to the strip, and adhered the heart-strip unit with foam tape to the card panel, and adhered the entire panel to an A2-sized card base.

This was a super simple way to crank out 6 super fun projects, maximizing the sentiments, and giving some extra glitz with the glitter gloss!

I wanted to really show off even more of the fantastic sentiments with the Naughty Hearts set, so I decided that a slimline card would make for a great 2nd and final project! I used the same coloring method as the first projects, using Copic Markers on embossed hearts, and set them aside.

Next, I cut a 3.25″ x 8.25″ piece of white blending cardstock, and a 3.5″ x 8.5″ piece of light purple cardstock. Taking the blending cardstock, I placed the Hearts stencil on the left side of the panel, and blended Shaded Lilac, then Worn Lipstick, and then about half the amount of Spiced Marmalade. I repositioned the Hearts stencil to the right side of the panel, and finished blending Spiced Marmalade, Squeezed Lemonade, and then Cracked Pistachio (all the way on the right). I adhered the blended panel to the purple slimline panel to give the stenciled pattern a nice frame.

To finish this project, I adhered my card base to a slimline card base. Using foam tape, I adhered my 5 hearts and tried to line them up as best as I could. I finished this card off by adhering some rainbow sequins that matched the colors of the card.

And those are my Naughty Candy projects! Get ready, because the entire Kindred Stamps Monthly Release sets will be available on Friday, December 18th, 2020 at 8 AM PST! Be sure to check out the other amazing sets releasing along with Naughty Candy:
