KS June 2020 Release- Happily Ever After

Hey Everyone! Today I am incredibly excited to be sharing 3 projects for the Kindred Stamps June 2020 Release using the new sentiment set, Happily Ever After!

This 4 x 4 set contains a bunch of great sentiments that are perfect for several occasions: weddings, babies, and general encouragement!

Let’s get started with my projects!

For my first Happily Ever After project, I used almost every sentiment on the set to create a fun rainbow ombré card.

First, I took an 4.125″ x 5.375″ piece of white cardstock, and carefully placed my Happily Ever After sentiments in a row. I heavily applied an anti-static embossing tool to the entire panel, and then stamped each row with my stamp block using embossing ink. Once my card was inked up, I used clear embossing powder and heat set it with my heat gun.

Next, I took the following Catherine Pooler Inks, top to bottom, and blended a rainbow ombré: Be Mine, Samba, Orange Twist, Limoncello, Lime Rickey, Fiesta Blue & Pixie Dust. I spritzed this layer with water and then splattered it with sparkle liquid. I finally used a microfiber cloth to remove ink from my embossed sentiments.

For my sentiment, I took a strip of white cardstock and colored a rainbow blend using my Copic Markers. Next, I heat embossed the sentiment “Fairy Tales Do Come True” in clear embossing powder. I then took Black Soot Distress Ink and blended over the strip entirely, and wiped the ink off of my embossed sentiment. I adhered the sentiment with foam tape.

Finally, I adhered some Rainbow Sparkletz & Rainbow Clay Slices. I mounted my panel to an A2-card base with Art Glitter Designer Adhesive.

For my 2nd Happily Ever After project, I wanted to get a little beachy with the buildable sentiment “Congratulations on your Princess”.

First, I took 3 characters from 3 separate sets: the prince from Ocean Royalty, the baby from Family Additions, and the Ocean Royalty Bonus Digital Stamp. I colored them all up with Copic Markers, fussy cut them out and set them aside.

Next, I took a 4.125″ x 5.375″ panel of white cardstock and blended Mustard Seed, Picked Raspberry and Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide Ink to create a sunset-type look. I also took the Confetti Stencil and applied some extra texture to the outer layer of my sky with Seedless PreservesDistress Oxide Ink. I spritzed this layer with some water and set it aside.

Next, I die cut 2 hill layers. I blended, from the bottom up, Brushed Corduroy & Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide Ink. I then spritzed the layers with water, and splattered Walnut Stain Distress Oxide Ink and Black Soot Distress Ink. I set these layers aside.

I then die cut 2 wave layers using the Stamp Anniething Waves Die. I used my blending brushes to blend, from the bottom up, Mermaid Lagoon & Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink. Then, I took the Swirly Bits stencil and blended a layer of Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide Ink over the waves for a little more texture.

In Nocturne Versafine Clair Ink, I stamped the sentiments “Congratulations on your” and “Princess” on a light purple cardstock, trimmed the sentiment strip and framed it with Navy Cardstock.

I could now start putting my project together. On my sunset panel, I used my Tape Runner XL to adhere my waves first, and then my sandy layers. Using Foam Tape, I then adhered my 3 characters and my sentiment strip.

I adhered this panel to an A2-sized piece of Navy cardstock. I then used Art Glitter Designer Adhesive to adhere some Sailor’s Sky Sparkletz bits. And this project was finished!

For my final Happily Ever After project, I knew that I wanted to use that super awesome and huge “Once Upon a Time” sentiment and make a wedding card with it!

First, I made my square card base. I took an 11″ x 5.5″ base and, on the 11″ edge, scored my card at the 2.75″ line and the 8.125″ line, so that my card opened in the center.

Next, I cut (2) 5.5″ x 2.75″ pieces of black cardstock, and (2) 5.375″ x 2.625″ pieces of white cardstock. On the white cardstock, I took the Twigs stencil and ink-blended a layer of Black Soot Distress Oxide ink. I removed the stencil and adhered both of these pieces to their own black cardstock piece, so it had a black frame. I then adhered each of the framed pieces to one of the flaps on the card base.

I then used 2 nesting heart shaped dies, and cut the smaller heart in white cardstock, and the larger heart in black cardstock. Using Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink, I stamped my Once Upon a Time sentiment on the white heart. I then used a blending brush to distress the edges of the heart with Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink. I adhered this heart directly to the black cardstock piece.

Using my Tape Runner XL, I adhered the heart to the left side of the flap ONLY (this way, it would still open properly). I then used some Shaker bits from a past Kindred Stamps Shaker Pack and Nuvo Glitter Drops for additional embellishment.

And I was done!
